Start
Use the Goldeck cable car from Spittal (switch at the middle station). For paragliders there is a discount. With the so called Kärnten Card you can have one ride up per day for free. With northern winds we usually start above the upper station in the direction of Spittal. With southern winds there is Martenock (big metal cross on top) with good possibilities to start on the southern slope. After take off fly to the left as soon as possible, following the ridge. After about 500 meters the ridge suddenly goes down for about 200 meters, so you can cross the ridge easily to the Spittal (north)side.  From the upper station it takes about 20 minutes on foot to reach Marrtenock.

Landing

Near the lower cable car station (right next to the swimming pool Drautalperle) you can find a big meadow to land on. There you can also find more information about the whole flying area around Goldeck.

Costs
A one way ticket up with the cable car costs € 12,-. Starting and landing fees are not required. When the weather is not flyable, paragliders are transported to the valley again for free.
